Switch from TypeIt4Me

TypeIt4Me keeps each set in a .typeit4me file. Shorthand reads it directly, with dates, date math, the clipboard, and keys converted.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Find the set file

In TypeIt4Me, hover over a set in the sidebar, click its action button, and choose Reveal in Finder.

  2. 2

    Import it

In Shorthand, choose File ▸ Import Snippets… (⇧⌘I), click Choose File…, and pick the .typeit4me file. The set becomes a group with the same name.

  3. 3

    Turn off TypeIt4Me

Quit TypeIt4Me, or pause its expansion, so snippets don’t expand twice.

Good to know

  • Formatted snippets come across as plain text, and pictures inside them are left out.
